Title: RETIVIS RT95+Vox
Post by: pkveazey on October 11, 2025, 05:05:00 PM
If anyone has one of these, please tell me how it works. I tried CHIRP and it told me that the driver was too new. It would appear that I need the old driver for it to read the radio so I can program it. It's a 2 meter/440 radio and is locked for Ham only. I can live with that. I just don't want or know how to hand program it. CHIRP has it listed but warns you that you're taking your chances. Including taxes, I only paid $80 for it. I even got the dual band mag mount antenna with it. I think whoever originally bought it had the same issues that I'm having and just traded it in for something they could better understand. Manual, manual.... It has no stinking manual. I know for sure that I can find the manual on the internet.

Well, I was able to download the RT95 manual. I tells me exactly what each function is but not how to use them. I think that I will eventually figure it out. Since I downloaded the latest CHIRP version, it has become totally useless on all my radios. I thought that the Yaesu HF radio menus were the most layered and difficult ones on the planet until I got the Retivis RT95. Don't worry, I'll eventually figure it out, even if I have to hand program it. However, any help with the RT95 would be greatly appreciated.
