Just to make a statement & retain muscle memory on training.
I'd gear up in full kit EVERY DAY!

Strange as it may sound I kind of agree with Reaver. Though it probably make manual labor a bit more difficult.
Seriously though. I'd open carry my p345 everywhere all day long.

I second that
-
Same thing I carry every day... Either my Colt Commander 1911, or my Springfield Micro Compact 1911.
-
I open carry most everywhere, Walmart, gas stations , stores, everywhere but work (policy about no firearms on the property). half the people don't even notice it , some people do a second take but that's all. It's no big deal where I live. People are use to guns around here, although I rarely see anybody else open carrying. It's a Sig Sauer P226 , E2 version , 40 cal.
-
i have open carried everywhere i go for a couple years now
nobody has freaked out
most dont even fuckin notice
those who do either get over themselves and leave it alone or they ask me questions because they too would like to open carry
really the only times it is brought up is when someones curious because they want to carry also
-
When I am in PA I CC and OC depending on the weather. In RI I only CC as it is against the law to OC.
I carry a Kimber 1911 for both.
-
I open carry a P229 in .40 like its my fucking job!

I think America would be a better place if more people dressed up, full kit everyday, and it became normal to do so.
Crime would almost disappear over night. No little punk thug would mess with you if you had your AK with you, a carrier full of mags and a plate carrier as well. Now that is a deterrent.

If I could Open Carry anything I ever wanted.... MK18 no kit.. too heavy
-
The wife asked me one time if I OC'd because I liked the attention. I said no, if attention was paid, I'd want it to be only because I was exercising my 2nd Amendment right. I'd like it to be so commonplace that nobody would give it a second thought. Maybe if more people did it, it would be. I would encourage people that never tried it to try it once. Just act like it's not even there. (although you will be more aware of your surrounding because it is there) Don't look like a thug. Mind your Ps and Qs. Say Thank You to the clerk when she hands you your change, hold the door for the next person, just leave a favorable impression with people around you. They'll see that we're not all a bunch of crazies out to reek havoc on the world. It does feel really weird the first time, but just go about your business and you'll see there's nothing to it. Come on in, the water's fine! P.S. Let me know if you do and how it went.

I would carry what ever I will carry when I get old enough. I don't see a need to go out in full kit.
-
Good to hear. How old do you have to be where you're at? Here in Pa. , it's 18 to O.C and 21 to C.C.

21 is the magic number for pistols and carry in my state. You need a permit for both. But the laws are pretty relaxed here.
-
you need a permit to oc hows that a relaxed law?
-
No you get a permit to cc and then you can oc whenever.
-
Right now I CC my Ruger p97 but if I open-carried one day it would probably be a Smith-and-Wesson M1917 .45 ACP revolver. The Indiana Jones gun is just badass. [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

still need a permission slip to carry, thats a crappy deal compared to most states
here you can oc at 18 no license or anything

I hope we can get there in Georgia one day soon. Right now you need a GWL to carry OC or CC a pistol at 21.
Long guns need no license to open carry.
-
hell we might even gt constitutional carry here
lord willing and the creek don't rise

That's the aim here in Georgia as well.

I live in AZ, probably the best place on earth for OC, it is not only legal, and the cops are well aware of it, but it is largely socially accepted, people generally don't care when they do notice. I still prefer to carry concealed, one I don't want the attention, and two, I often carry in places where it is either legally or socially unacceptable.
I would however, like to see the open carry of long guns in urban areas be more socially accepted here.
