Damn dude, you're a good brother! Are you looking to adopt a sister, I'm house broken and relatively self-sufficient? I think I have a few years on you, so some noogies and indian burns would be in order of course... ;D
Good luck with the build! [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

Right on RS! As TGrl wrote...You are a good brother!

lol thanks guys. The hell of it is my brother's adopted ^-^
First major hiccup.
The bolt will not close (carrier stops about 1/2 inch short)
The carrier will run the rails fine by itself, bolt runs fine by itself, combine the two and it wont go into battery.
The bolt does not rotate to allow the carrier forward and the piston is not hitting the gas block.
I've been struggling with this issue for 2 hours now, head hurts like hell. [img]http://www.smileydesign.n
going to bed hopefully i can figure this out in the morning.

I have put together quite a few AKs, maybe I can help. With the exception of the AR (unless you do your own machine work) with all gun builds, there is always fitting involved. Are you building from a flat or a completed receiver? Did you already install the barrel to the trunnion and set the proper head space before riveting the trunnion to the receiver? If the lower rails are set to high, they will cause the bolt and carrier to bind up against the top rails when trying to go into battery. If the barrel is pushed in to far, it will also prevent the bolt from fulling rotating into the locked position. See if you can close just the bolt with a live round. If it does lock all the way, that eliminates one possibility.
