What are you preparing for today's main meal?
Here at the redoubt the menu will be...
Pork center cut rib roast, sauerkraut, mash potatoes and baked apples for desert. :dance:

Happy New Year everybody......
As far a lunch goes, traditional southern New Year's fare.....
[spoiler]hog jowl, blackeyed peas and sweet potatoes[/spoiler]
Will have some blackberry cobbler for the sweet tooth.

Did a ham hock but no jowls. Did the black eyed peas. Sweet potatoes are the work of the devil. They are bad for the soul and should be banned from civil society.
Cabbage in cole slaw is the proper thing.
Blackberry cobbler is entirely acceptable but if you are in Georgia it must be peach.
Now that y'all are fed proper HNY!

Uh, come on. But there probably won't be any leftover peas. If not we can raise a glass of home made, well just home made stuff.
