We have an opportunity to expand Unchainedpreppers footprint and attract some new forum members.
Help out your favorite prepper site by clicking HERE (http://www.topprepperwebsites.com/vin.php?s=762x51nato). Once at the Top Prepper Stite, click on "Click Here To Enter" button. This will get you into the site where all of the prepper sites are. Once there scroll down till you see Unchainedpreppers and click on it to vote.
You can only vote once.
Contest Alert
After you vote, reply on this thread you did so. On March 1st I will put the names into a hat of all who posted they voted. Then I will draw three names. Those three voters will receive an Unchainedpreppers morale patch.
Good luck forum members! :cat:

So clicking the "Here" link equated to my vote? Was there anything else I was supposed to do once I got there?
-
And done.
-
So far, only 4 members have voted. :(
-
I clicked the link. the counter went from 4 / 6 to 4 / 7. Not sure what votes (in/out) mean.
-
...Once there scroll down till you see Unchainedpreppers and click on it to vote.
All that does is take me back here. :what:
-
Sorry Special K I did not develop Todds site. I will PM you his direct address to quiz him.
DM, thanks for voting! I do not know how Todd (Owner of the site) is calculating his pole.
-
I voted, 3 times. Each one it brought me back here. And this place is the "site of the moment".
I don't know if what I did counted or not, but I tried!

Thx for voting Nemo

When you link in from here, it's recorded as "incoming" on their list. Then when you scroll down to 170 where UP is and click on that, it takes you back here and is recorded as "outgoing". May be wrong, but looking at the other sites stats, that appears to be the case. I think they are looking at "incoming" as a vote (it drives traffic to their site). Plus the incoming is less than the outgoing indicating that several of the same IP's have "visited" and then left again to the same site and the repeated "incoming" wasn't counted.

When I win one of those, I shall defer to the next pick. I have a couple sewn on and one with no place to attach.

I think it counted mine. Hard to tell.
If I win the patch, you may give it to someone who doesn't have one yet. I still have one I haven't used.
-
I think that I voted. I'm really not sure. It brought me back to here. I gave it my best shot. Hope it worked.
-
Thank you Sledge. Yes you voted. Once you click on our site link and return to the UP site that counts as 1 vote. If you back you can't vote but your return is counted. Ala 17 votes in (your one vote) 33 Votes out (Counting the number of times you return).
We are currently rated at 147th out of 176 sites. The goal is 76 votes which is 99th out of 176. With 550 Unchainedpreppers forum members, in theory we should be able to hit that number.
I asked my Face Book friends (The few I have) to vote too :tractor:
Thanks again to all who voted.
-
Was #7 when I voted.
-
Yes it floats higher based on frequency of votes. So if 10 folks within an hour vote it pops to the top vs a site that only gets 1 vote an hour; However over all I would like to get north of 100th hence 76 votes is the goal.
Thanks for voting JoJo
-
The "Here" is not a link on my phone from tapatalk.
-
done..... Sorry it took so long.
-
Looks like we are stuck at that 32 count. Goal is 76.
If you haven't voted - VOTE. :chuky:
If you have ask a friend to vote. We picked up 5 votes when I posted on my FB page. ;D
-
About half way to our goal of 76. Great going folks.
-
Passed the half way mark folks. Only 36 more votes to go and I will shut up ;)
Remember once you vote, put a comment on this thread and i will draw 3 names for a Unchainedpreppers morale patch.

As of this writing, we are 121 on the list. We have come a long way from 176th. Thank you for taking an interest and voting.
We have 41 votes in and only 35 to go till we meet our goal of 76. Three days left till the end of the contest. :bravo:
-
Last 63 hours before morale patch contest over.
We have 43 votes in :dancingBanana: and at 118th place. Only 33 more votes to go to finish in the top 100.
If you haven't voted then please vote. If you have voted then have a family member or friend vote.
Thanks folks
-
With ~36 hrs left till the contest (push) is over we have 45 votes in and are ranked at 117th. If we hit 50 votes we will be ranked at ~112th. If you haven't posted on this thread as yet that you voted please do so, so I can include you in the contest.
I would like to thank all that participated in the contest and taking the time to vote for your favorite prepper site. :bravo:
-
I voted. I got at least 2 extra votes from friends...confirmed.
-
You rock SPECIAL K!
-
Voted :)

I spread the word. Look for 5-50 more in the next 18 hours. I anticipate 15-20 or so.
Could be 2, could be 75. One of those you never know things.

Edit-- As of 0000, got 2.

As posted in other place

103. Unchainedpreppers Freedom Through Self-Relinace 63 131
Almost to the first number but near 2.5 times the second. Whatever they mean?
Nemo
-
Thank you to all that voted and a special thank you for you folks who went outside this forum and encouraged family and friends to vote!
This morning we were up to 64 votes and 103rd on the list. Have to have 7 more votes to hit the magic 100 threshold. I am sure over weeks we will hit that number.
I am on the road for the next couple of days. Once I get home (Fri/Sat) I will draw the three winners and mail out your UP morale patches.
Remember...Freedom Through Self-Reliance

So if the contest ended how can people still vote, why would they and what is the incentive?
I am missing out on something?

So if the contest ended how can people still vote...
The link in the original post still works.
...why would they and what is the incentive?
They might vote for the joy-joy feelings they would receive after having voted for our awesome little website.

I am missing out on something?
I dunno...Let's run through the checklist:

OK, I guess I was not clear enough.
If the contest is ended, why is it possible for people to still vote-- the contest is over!?!? You cannot vote in a contest that is ended. ITS Over. Its not over till its over, BUT ITS OVER.
And if you can still vote, why, what good does it do, or is it just clicking a dead link for fun?
It seems to me there are things I do not understand in all of this.
The contest is over. You blowing smoke out your southern regions if you vote in an ended contest. Winning is over.
If it is not over, then its not over. See Above. Its over. And its over because its over. Isn't it?
I am very confused.

The voting still continues at topprepperwebsites (TPW) for as long as the folks who run TPW wish.
Since UnchainedPreppers (UP) was late to the game in registering at TPW, we were at the bottom of the list. So UP staff decided to have a promotional contest in order to help us quickly move a few steps up the ladder.
In summary, UP held the contest...not TPW. The contest is now over. TPW is not in the contest business. TPW simply lists prepper oriented websites, in descending order corresponding with click counts generated from a unique link provided to each prepper oriented website when it registers at TPW. The link remains valid, even though our in-house contest has ended.
-
Awrite, I am gonnna be watching you! You throw an in house and a unique link with a TPW thats valid even though one ended.
Now you got me serious Confabulated!
I declare this discussion and my questions seeking answers to be over. And its over, because I SAID ITS OVER.
But I guess that does not affect the voting.
Or does it?
See, even more confabulated!
