I'm sure the cops were nervous.  They're used to enforcing their will and it gets a little iffy when they are outnumbered like that.  The normal standard op is for the cops to swarm someone who isn't complying with their will.  It's difficult to swarm a larger swarm. 

Have you noticed it's usually the white shirts that get shown in these videos.

I fully expect these protests to become more violent in steps.  Because the protesters are going to get more frustrated as they come to realize the only people listening to them and taking them seriously are those that are standing around them.  The banks and Government see them but could care less what the protesters want.

There dosnt seem to any end in site. The longer this goes on the more opportunity for violence there will be. I am impressed so far that the violence has only been perpatrated by police. That many angry frustrated people anr no riots is a miricle.

       I think a  big reason it has been some what tame so far is due to the fact that from what I have seen, the majority doesnt even know what they are protesting, they are simply just there for the sake of being there.

I am NOT defending the cops here, but remember, this "wearechange" group are pasting snippets of videos online of things happening.  We don't know what happened prior to this clip.

That said, I have seen a lot of videos and the cops are reacting poorly....but then, these people are intentionally antagonizing the situation in order to get a violent reaction. 

Trust me, this isn't going to end peacefully.  Once these people figure out that they are starting to outnumber the cops by a significant ratio, we're going to see Greece-like violence.

I was watching live feeds yesterday and there are many more videos showing much more of what was going on.  wearechange has video up last night where all the cops are trying to do is push people back to the sidewalk, then back to the park.  Maybe they are just scared shitless cause of the overwhelming numbers they are against, but the cops were clearly using brute force to herd people.  Too many times so far have police used brutish tactics to get their way and so far these protesters for the most part are nonviolent and peaceful.  If that changes, I put it on the shoulders of the cops, or at least those in charge of them.  But its not like they don't have a choice to stand for the constitution...
