USA Attacks Iran

I am surprised that someone hasn't begun a thread on this subject as yet. What the heck, I will.

Although I am not privy to the intel that President Trump has, I am wondering this morning if the attack by the USA on Iran was the right thing to do. My gut tells me to trust Trump while there is certainly examples in the past of .gov hollering "Wolf" when the sky was not falling. Worse .gov being behind a black flag event like the sinking of the USS Maine, Gulf of Tonkin Incident, Operation Northwoods, or most recent the "weapons of mass destruction" that Iraq had. Time will tell.

At a minimum, get ready for saboteurs illegally here from Iran to strike back.

Irans sleeper cells would be doing us a favor if they activated. Deportations would hit warp speed, would clear all the illegal aliens out, and any Marxists that protested would get a well deserved ass beating from an organic mob of the American public that would form.

Iranian/Army of Islam production and proliferation of nukes is a problem. I am very much an isolationist as far as military affairs' go, but this preemptive ( possibly last minute ) destruction of Iranian nuclear sites is a tough decision but fine with me . Nobody asked me, interestingly enough, I'm not in the decisions chain from D.C.  Personally, I'd rather stay home, let the rest of the world go up in flames, should they so choose.  On the other hand, harm 'me and mine' and I'd mercilessly exterminate a small continent.  The Iranian people are not the enemy, but their government certainly is.  Its out of their control, so no hatred toward them, hence decapitation of command structure and destroying the jihadi ability to manufacture strategic weapons  seems merciful to me.

I'm surprised not one of the terrorist groups iran has been supplying/supporting for the past few decades, has not stepped up to help them. Is this the calm before the storm or what?

Their hatred for the US and Isreal dominates their every waking moment, something is cooking...

Watching the "comments" sections on various sites for days now, I see one glaring trend across the boards...   Virtually without exception, ALL comments, opinions, rants that visit the "illegality", "ineffectiveness", "Sending us into WWIII", "They didn't have a nuclear bomb program active since...", "this is gonna bring Hell down on us from sleeper cells", "what right do _we_ have to...", yadda-yadda  - ALL refuse to address the reality of what 60+% enrichment means, the implacable hatred the Mullahs have expressed (does "Death to America" count?), the widespread terror financed and supplied by Iran for years... need I go on?

All this while, "negotiations" for a "deal" to "contain" the threat of nuclear tipped Iranian missiles has been a fools game of Mullahs stringing along the powers that refuse to act in any meaningful way.

What does success in protecting against Iranian nukes look like?    It has many faces.    But the destruction of ability to continue enriching uranium way past any plausible peaceful use appears on the "Mighty Fine" screen here, job well done.

One problem in this information war is that people are gleefully ignorant of facts about nuclear weapons, yet LOUD about their feeeelings, about nukes in the hands of Jihadis.  They are so 'afraid' of Christian Theocracy in America through Trump ( huh ?) Yet, Islamic theocracy armed with nukes and caliphate is all cool with them.  Insanity is amplified and often glorified due to a lack of Harsh Darwinian Selection to cleanse the gene pool - yet.
