First, thank you Jackalope for starting this thread. Also, thanks to all who are participating in the thread with additional links that focus on the subject at hand.
Just a few comments from my perspective.
We are currently in a precarious situation-like a frog in a pot of water on a stove, with the temperature slowly rising. Many people are not taking the time to look beyond mainstream media (MSM), cable news, or social media to see the bigger picture. Imagine watching a Sunday football game: the camera above the field captures the entire play, revealing patterns and strategies that the players on the ground might miss. The broader perspective is always different.
Western society has entered a period of "low-intensity conflict" - sporadic, localized unrest that disrupts public order without escalating to outright war. Recent events in Los Angeles are a precursor to what may spread to other Democrat/Socialist/Marxist-led cities. As I discussed in my recent post on
Unchainedpreppers (
UP), titled
Urban Warfare - Flash Mob Battles in the USA, this is how things may unfold. One critical point raised in that discussion is that urban centers do not produce essential resources like food, fuel, or other necessities. As a result, these low-intensity conflicts will likely spill into suburban and rural areas to "feed the beast." At that point, the situation could escalate into a full-blown civil war.
This is just food for thought.
Predicting timelines is challenging, and I've been wrong about them before. I'm surprised we haven't seen a higher degree of low-intensity conflict already. One possible reason is the public's support for government policies, such as deporting illegal immigrants, which may be dampening unrest. This seems to perplex groups like ANTIFA, who might have expected more resistance from the citizenry. As a result, we should anticipate an escalation in low-intensity conflicts. Watch for significant, orchestrated events-potentially instigated by groups like ANTIFA-to provoke broader public unrest and draw people into the streets.
It's time to step back and observe the situation from above the playing field, not from within the chaos. Share your concerns with family and friends, and stay vigilant. Continue preparing with the four B's: Beans, Band-Aids, Bullets, and Bible.
